About the Blog – and About Me
I’m Emiilia – 35, a mom of three and a resilient entrepreneur at heart. I’ve built, rebuilt, and reimagined my dreams more times than I can count. This blog is where I share that journey – honest, imperfect, and always moving forward.
I started blogging years ago when I was a stay-at-home mom in Porvoo, raising two little girls and dreaming big. Back then, I called my blog Unelma 5 – “Dream 5” – because I saw it as my fifth dream after love, children, a home, and the elusive idea of happiness. Writing was something I had always loved, even as a child, but somewhere between university deadlines and adult responsibilities, my voice got quieter. Still, the dream to write never left me. So I started again.
Since then, life has been anything but easy. We've known the weight of financial stress, the pain of miscarriage, and the exhaustion of parenting through hard seasons. I’ve run four businesses that didn’t take off the way I hoped. I’ve questioned everything – my path, my worth, even my dreams. But I’m still here, still writing, still trying, because giving up was never an option.
This blog isn’t about perfection. It’s about starting again when things fall apart. It’s about holding on to something gentle and real – even when the world feels harsh. Here, I write about motherhood, creativity, entrepreneurship, and what it means to keep dreaming in the middle of real life.
If you’ve ever felt like you’re rebuilding from the ground up, if you’ve ever had to keep going when nothing made sense – you belong here. Welcome to my story. Welcome to this space. I’m so glad you’re here.
